From climate change to disinformation and weak governance, today’s global risks are deeply interconnected — and growing more urgent.
The first Global Risk Report published by the UN is based on the results of a global survey of more than 1,100 participants from 134 countries. The report analyzes which risks are most important and which risks the multilateral system is least prepared for.
Key Findings:
– 5 of the top 10 risks are environmental
– Over 80% of respondents say mis/disinformation is an active crisis
– Risks span political, technological, societal & environmental domains
– Multilateral cooperation is the most effective solution
The report also presents 4 foresight scenarios to help decision-makers plan for a more resilient future.
