World Meteorological Organization’s “State of the Global Climate 2025” report is out!

The message is clear: the climate crisis is not a future risk, it is today’s reality.

  • 2015–2025 were the 11 hottest years on record.
  • 2025 ranked as the 2nd or 3rd warmest year, depending on the dataset.

– Around 91% of excess heat was absorbed by the oceans, pushing ocean heat content to a new record high.
– Glaciers and ice sheets are melting rapidly, while sea level continues to rise.
– Arctic and Antarctic sea-ice extent is declining significantly.

Extreme weather is affecting millions of people and costing billions.

Observing today is the first step to protecting tomorrow.
Science is clear: we must cut emissions, strengthen adaptation, and accelerate just climate solutions.
