Şafak Müderrisgil stated in an interview with Merve Kara Kaska from İklim Gazetesi that the concept of a purely profitability-oriented company is disappearing.
Şafak Müderrisgil, Chair of the Executive Committee of Etkiyap, who works to raise awareness about impact investment in Turkey and to create an impact investment ecosystem, stated that an investment incompatible with any of the SDGs cannot be an “impact investment issue” and gave an example regarding energy investment; she mentioned that while a power plant project based on renewable energy sources, wind or sun can be funded with impact investment, a thermal power plant project cannot be subject to impact investment.
