Etkiyap attended Imece Summit: Shaping the Futures
Imece is a social innovation platform established in 2016 in partnership with ATÖLYE, S360 and Zorlu Holding. imece summit: Shaping the Futures, which took place virtually in 18 & 19th March 2021, hosted different formats such as a series of panels, speeches, workshops, network development, roundtables, collaboration studies, and learning transfer. Şafak Müderrisgil, Chair of the Executive Committee of Etkiyap, attended the panel on Inclusive Partnerships for Sustainable Impact with the session partnership of SDG Impact Accelerator.

Speaking of the SDG related investments, it is vital to inform the asset owners on how to create measurable and positive social and environmental impact through their investments. A major challenge constraining SDG related investments is the difficulty of identifying bankable projects for investors. In that respect, the alumni pool of scalable impact startups within the SDG Impact Accelerator-is an asset for the nascent impact investing ecosystem in Turkey.
In order to leverage the opportunities and manage the transition to the impact economy in Turkey, there are now efforts in place to establish a National Advisory Board for Impact Investing which will also monitor impact entrepreneurs including the ones who are graduating from SDGia programs with innovative and impactful solutions to SDG related challenges.
